Sübhan Əliyev
Advocate · Doctor of Legal Sciences, professor · founder and head of the “Sirius” Law Office
Member of the Bar Association of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Doctor of Legal Sciences and professor. He has taught constitutional law at the Law Faculty of Baku State University since 2006.
Born in Baku in 1981. Admitted to the Law Faculty of Baku State University on state funding in 1998, he took a master’s degree in State Law in 2003 and completed postgraduate and doctoral study at the Constitutional Law Department. He became Doctor of Philosophy in Law in 2011, associate professor in 2015, Doctor of Legal Sciences in 2019 and professor in 2022.
Since September 2020 he has headed the Department of State and Constitutional Law at the Institute of Law and Human Rights of ANAS. Alongside academic work he practises as an advocate: on 10 February 2022 he founded the “Sirius” Law Office in the Nəsimi district of Baku and heads it today.
